For
the past 6 years Matt McMahon has performed around the
world under the guise of
LOKI, flooding
Australia, Israel, Hungary, Germany, Czech
Republic, Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Thailand and many
more countries with his unique sound. However, in
a moment of awakening whilst on
tour, the dark seed within awoke his alter ego and
twin personality
AZRIN. He took
the wheel to drive whilst Loki was left tied up in
the back seat, only occasionally being let out to
play, ensuring that the darker side of things to
come remains. Merging the two worlds of dark
progressive psy-trance & deep unrelenting techno,
a sound unheard around the world, until now.
Throughout mythology the world around, AZRIN
is more commonly known by the name of Azrael, the
angel of death. Depicted as an arc angel sent to
kill all sinners, however with the thirst for it,
he became rogue and was condemned to life in the
underworld. In one of his forms, he has four
faces, four thousand wings, and his whole body
consists of eyes and tongues, the number of which
corresponds to the number of people inhabiting the
Earth. He will be the last to die, recording and
erasing constantly in a large book the names of
man at birth and death, respectively. Azrin's DJ
performances are as twisted as this legend, but
more than just a tale of life and death, they show
the ascension of the future sound of psychedelic
techno.
“Breaking the mould with his everlasting energy
and enthusiasm, he has created his own fusion of
deep twisted techno, acid and driving psychedelic
wonk.”
Rapidly establishing a solid presence in
the underground techno and psychedelic scene with
his excitability, versatility and creativity
behind the decks. He breaks the mould with his
everlasting energy and enthusiasm, creating
his own fusion of deep twisted techno, acid and
driving psychedelic wonk. All to be felt within a
single performance, showing the masses how deep
the rabbit hole really goes! With many
residencies, international shows and radio
appearances, he has transformed into something
more distinctive, separating him from the rest!
A big room dominator, he regularly performs
to intimate 200+ crowds, to the massive 10,000+
festival audiences; headlining arenas the world
around. Along the way supporting psy-trance and
techno greats such as: Shpongle, Fatali,
Quantize, Green Nuns of the Revolution,
Protoculture, Zen Mechanics, Neelix, Liquid Soul,
Growling Machines, Raja Ram, Simon Posford,
Tsyoshi Suzuki, Vibrasphere, Timelock, Solar

is also the power that drives "Unstable Sounds".
